Length is a method of measuring distance. In our daily life, having the skill to measure the ength is very important. For example. Andy is going to buy a desk in his bedroom. How does he know which desk can be placed in the bedroom? Can he measure the room for the desk? He can measure the width and see if the desk can fix in.
There are different units like centimeters, meters, kilometer,
hectometer, feet, inches. etc or using our body, such as handspan,
foot-span to measure the length of the object.
We have Non-standard units and standard units to measure.

There are many elements can be measured with different methods.Traditional Measurement Units,
the most natural way to measure length, like foot-span, arms, handspan.
The Ruler and Tape Measure, rulers are more suitable to measure shorter things like pen,
however, tape measure can measure longer things like yard, or the length of an object in more
than one dimension like a desk.
Calipers and Opisometers, calipers are often used to measure lengths of round objects. Opisometers are used to measure curved lines.
1. Tape Measures - Tape Measures are flexible straight edges with graduated marking, they can be used to measure the total length of an object exists in more than one dimension, since they can bend.
2. Rulers - Rules have two sides, one side is marked in centimeters and the other side is marked in inches. Rules can be used to measure shorter lengths like the length of a pen.
3. Odometers - Odometers are also a measure unit, we often see them in vehicles. They are good for measuring miles and kilometers, especially when you are travelling.
meter = inches / 39.37
M = 1.7 /39.37
M = 0.04318
1 yard = 3 feet
1 feet = 12 inches"
1 m = 3.28 feet
1 m = 39.37 inches"
1 inch = 2.54 cm
1 foot = 30.48 cm
1 foot = 0.3048 m"
Meter is a unit of measuring lengths.
1m=100cm
Inches multiply the length value by 2.54 to become centimeters
39.3700787402 inches
On a metric ruler, each individual line represents a millimeter (mm). 10mm = 1cm, the numbers on a ruler represents a cm.
No, 20mm=2cm
