We focus on building the foundation of the student, to help them achieve their academic goals. We facilitate understanding by teaching the concepts and going through the application questions step by step, which is essential to success in AP.
We have a track record of success with our students achieving AP level 4 and 5 and admitted to top universities including Queen's and Waterloo.
We focus on helping students to understand, not memorize. Understanding the concepts is the first step. This is what we teach first. The next step is explaining the difficult problems to the student step by step, so that he understands the rationale behind each step, and not memorizing.

Pre-AP is an important time to build a good foundation, without which, the student is not ready to tackle the difficult AP curriculum in grade 12. Our Pre-AP tutoring is one on one, focusing on good explanation and understanding, and not memorizing. We also teach the student important problem solving techniques as we go through the pre-AP curriculum. These techniques are essential for students to succeed in the Grade 11 / 12 AP programs.
Over the years, parents have requested us to help students to fast track and learn ahead. We have deep knowledge on the AP syllabus and offer such program as well.
The AP syllabus approaches university level difficulty. We have successful track record, in helping our AP students achieving a 5 (90%+). We provide quality lesson on teaching the concepts first, then showing the student how to apply the concept in difficult AP problems. AP is different from regular program in its difficulty and a variety of problems. Learning how to solve each type of questions is essential and this is what we teach.
Beside this, we provide AP level worksheets, so that our students can practice on a weekly basis, and accustomed to its level of difficulty. We also guide our students to purchase relevant AP textbooks and resources such as past AP exams.
For students who are writing the AP exams, but their home school does not provide the relevant course, we can offer such course in an one on one format. (non credit). We have experience teaching the entire AP course to our students, and prepare them to the AP calculus exam, where the student has achieved a 5 (highest grade possible on AP).
We offer these one on one courses (non credit) for AP subjects: Math, Chemistry, Physics Biology and Statistics.
QE is accredited by the Ministry of Education.
We have 6+ years of experience tutoring AP level
Many of their tutors have no knowledge of the AP curriculum. Have no idea on what is being covered and the proper methods being taught.
We proactively teach the concepts first then show how they apply to problems step by step.
Their tutors sit back and wait for students to ask questions. Often times students don't know what to ask. They don't know the curriculum enough to know what to teach.
Our AP tutors have university level teaching experience and teaches problem solving techniques to tackle difficult AP problems to our students
No experience, simply answer individual questions. No additional skill being taught to students

AP Chemisty Tutoring in Kitchener & Waterloo
AP Chemistry is the advanced level courses that approaches university level. To perform in AP chemistry courses, the students require a deep understanding of the concept, situation based problems and lab based problems
AP Chemistry is a challenging subject. Many students resort to memorizing formulas and hoping to plug in a number to receive the answer - and do well on tests and exams. Oftentimes the teacher will change the question - especially on application problems, where the student will get student, result in poor grades.
Memorizing steps and equations doesn't work in AP chemistry. You need to start with the foundation (such as stoichiometry, or calculating equilibrium). The. next step is to understand the concept and know how to apply to specific problems on AP chemistry. Then the next step is to go through a variety of application problems, which is especially difficult in AP chemistry. Then learn important problem solving skills tailored to AP chemistry. These are all situation based questions that you will encounter on your AP chemistry tests and exams.

AP Physics Tutoring in Kitchener & Waterloo
To perform in AP physics courses, the student needs to understand the concept and sharpen his or her problem solving skills, which is essential. There are units such as Momentum that is very abstract and difficult to comprehend. Same for rotational motion.
AP Physics is a challenging subject for a lot of students. The key challenge is that AP Physics is problem solving based. Students are accustomed to math, where they will have a formula and "plug-in" the number to derive the answer, following the procedures and steps. For AP Physics, you need to know which formula to use in the first place and how to manipulate the formula according to the situation.
Memorizing steps and equations doesn't work in AP Physics. All questions in AP physics are application based, they are word problems where the solution changes along with the situation. The teacher can change the question slight, such as adding friction or an extra box, your entire solution - the equation you use, the givens, the approach, will be different. Understanding the concepts and apply them, instead of memorizing equations, is the key to perform well in AP Physics.

AP Math Tutoring in Kitchener & Waterloo
There are two courses in AP Math - AP Calculus and AP Statistics. AP math approach the difficulty of first year university. AP Calculus - key concepts such as limits, derivatives and integrals. Especially integral is first year university level, which does not present in any grade 12 courses. To perform in AP math courses, the student needs to understand the concepts and connect these concepts, and know when to apply which one in deciphering the problem.
AP Math is a challenging course for a lot of students. The key challenge is that AP Math cover a variety of topics and they are all intricately connected. Therefore, students need to have a deep understanding of the materials and know how to apply them. Secondly it depends a solid foundation on the student's part. Math is cumulative, therefore the student at AP Math must master grade 9-11 math. The first two steps of a solution is typically the new materials. However, all the subsequent steps, such as simplifying the answer is all based on foundation skills. Students lacking foundation skills will lose a significant portion of the marks.
Memorizing steps and equations doesn't work in AP Math. Most questions in AP Math are application based. Different scenario request adjustment on the equations and the solution is often time very different. Understanding the concepts and knowing when to apply what is really the key to succeed in AP Math.
