Physics is a challenging subject for a lot of students. The key challenge is that physics is problem solving based. Students are accustomed to math, where they will have a formula and “plug-in” the numbers to derive the answer. For physics, you need to know which formula to use in the first place and how to change the formula according to the situation.
Memorizing steps and equations doesn't work. All questions in physics are application-based, they are word problems. At our Physics Tuition in Singapore, QE teaches the concepts and how to apply the concept to solve problems, along with useful physics problem solving techniques. With good lessons and understanding, and hard work in practice, QE students achieve well in physics.

In QE math tutoring sessions, we focus on laying a solid groundwork and grasping essential concepts. Understanding the 'why' behind formulas is as crucial as knowing 'how' to use them. We focus on comprehension and practical application, enabling students to confidently tackle various types of physics problems - from Mechanics to Sound to Electromagnetism. This is how we teach in our physics tuition in Singapore. Understand first, then apply to problems is essential for our students to build the foundation for the next year and to university (engineering / science etc.)
Physics is all about being able to apply complex concepts into solving different types of problems
The difficulty in physics problem is not only to work through the equations and steps, it is to know which equation to use. This requires the student to understand the concepts first, and with our teaching, they will further understand the rationale behind the steps . In this way, combined with practice, students will learn how to apply the concepts in different scenarios. In our physics tuition in Singapore, we emphasize in application through a variety of physics problems
Most students make the mistake of jumping too soon to the equation, and trying to plug in certain equation. The first step to solve a physics problem, is to visualize the question first. Slight change on a test problem will create a entirely different solution. The student needs to ask: What is happening? Then draw a diagram that encompass all the varaiables and parameters of the question. Only then he can determine which equation to use, and more importantly, how to "tweek" the equation to fit into the scenario
In physics test and exams, many students study hard, but do not get the grade they desire - why? It's because most of them neglect the importance of Exam performance. At QE physics tuition in Singapore, we teach our students on key performance skill, including exam time management, problem solving techniques, multiple choice strategies and more. In this way, our students can maximize their scores and perform the best they can.

When it comes to physics, it is a challenging subject for a lot of students. It is a combination of calculation and theory. Many students either don’t understand the concept enough to apply it, or they aren’t good in math to carry through the calculation. This is why they find physics difficult.

Physics are all math word problems. It is essentail to sharpen your math skill - solving algebraic equations familiarize yourself with quadratic equations (occurs on projective motion types of problems), vectors understanding slopes (kinematics, velocity). You want to avoid the situation, where you can setup the physics equation but cannot solve it due to math deficiencies.
One of the important techniques we tutor our physics students is to visualize the problem. Oftentimes students are too quick jumping into the equation. This is the wrong approach. Remember, physics is not math. You need to first understand the problem. By visualizing the question, you will know the variables and parameters involved, and what is happening. Only then you can apply / manipulate your equations, and plug-in your variables and numbers.
A common mistake for a lot of students in that they are trying to do too much in one step. They might try to combine multiple equations into a large equation, which makes it very difficult and confusing the solve. Our approach is to break down the equation into pieces. Once you calculate each piece, you can combine them together and get a final answer. This approach will reduce the complexity and avoid having too much algebra in one equation. therefore, you can avoid making careless errors. We teach this approach in our tutoring session and it works!
Oftentimes student study very hard on physics tests and xams, but do not perform well. Why? Because they lack good exam writing strategies.
This includes time management (students waste too much time on questions they don't know, but neglect the questions they do know), multiple choice techniques, and other problem solving techniques.
At QE Physics tuition in Singapore, we teach all these techniques to help students to achieve an optimal grade.
